Father of the Rubicon Liberation Front, veteran military commander, and founder of the school of Coral mysticism.

As a young man, Dolmayan was one a Doser vagrant—until the Fires of Ibis burned the star system.
In the Fires' aftermath, he developed an ardent belief in symbiosis with the Coral.

This belief informed the founding ideals of the Rubicon Liberation Front—ideals that have made martyrs of countless Coral Warriors.

She seemed to be contemplating the meaning of the word...

My notes

  • His ENG voice actor, John Eric Bentley, also voiced Barrett Wallace from Final Fantasy 7 Remake!
  • He has a Contact, much like 621 does with Ayre. His Contact's name is Seria, but not much is known about her.
  • The name "Dolmayan" has Armenian origins! Along with that, "Astghik" (also spelled Astłik) is the name of the Armenian goddess of fertility and love. Astghik later became known as the goddess of love, maidenly beauty, and of water sources and springs.
    • Coral is often shown in a liquidy form, and also shown to gather in pools and springs... much to think about.
  • It's interesting to note that the five RLF pilots you meet have names corresponding to fingers - Thumb Dolmayan, Index Dunham, Middle Flatwell, Ring Freddie, Little Ziyi. I was wondering personally, are these more like titles? Or are they just straight up new names that the pilots are given, presumably by Dolmayan himself?
  • Dolmayan likes men. This is confirmed in Freddie's Arena Log, where Freddie is referred to as Dolmayan's paramour. Nice!
